Take a bow!

Hi dear friends, do you smell the Christmas in the air?

Here where I am (El Salvador) we have a lovely 68ºF and that as far winter goes for us… hehehe

I got the idea of today’s project from Cindy Gilchrist, hybrid editor of the DST Insider (you can grab your free December Edition HERE). And I like this project so much because I always travel for the Holidays (family is in a different Country) and I’m always angry because I don’t have all my crafty supplies there and if I bring the gifts already wrapped, then my bows en up flat and messy. And these paper bows are great to assamble just minutes before Christmas

So if you want to know a little more on how to do this, please take a peek of mgl Scraps CT blog

What I've been doing this week

I'm really really really tired. This has been a very special week.

My Rotary Club is hosting a delegation of doctors and nurses that came with "Healing the Children" and we tried to help the more we can as they came to operate children with orthopedic problems in feets and hands.

The first day it was full of people. There were more than 100 cases (some of them came from very far) and we try to sort everything in the best way we could (this is a very poor hospital in a little town)

And for more pictures of what they did and are still doing you can go to this blog too

Tomorrow we are celebrating them with a lunch, I hope they like it. I’ll post more pictures on the weekend

This quiz is way to funny because my real accent is spanglish... hehehe
But here are my results, I guess my friends Jeanine and Robin may disagree... LOL

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Northeast

Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island. Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.

Philadelphia
The Inland North
The Midland
The South
Boston
The West

You are a somewhat serious person who enjoys studying subjects deeply.

Art of all kinds interests you, and a good piece of art can really effect you emotionally.

Imaginary friends became REAL in Chicago!!!

Well ladies, I’m not in a talking mood, but do want to show you the best parts of my trip to Chicago to the Summer CHA. Also want to tell you that is you were expecting pictures of products and projects… well is not going to happened… hehehehe

Anyway, for me the best part of the show was this… LOL

The chocolate fountain at the Rusty Pickle booth (I think). Believe me I was ther more than once… hehehe

Well, that was good, but my favorite part of the trip was meeting so many “virtual friends” and finally make them REAL.

See, this is not Sandra Bullock… hehehe Is the so so so tall and lovely Amy Teets. I found her at the Dream Street booth where we had a nice chat (boy you have to see her new papers!!!).

Also there were some of my first and best friends in the digi world (my first home was Rakscraps) Jeanine Baechtold and Jen Reed (former owners of Scrapdish and now having their own design company: Kristy Valshan)… Thanks again for the pass to the show guys!!! Also were other old friends (old in time, not in age… hehehe) Melinda Staley, Robin Cabana and Connie Crook. I was so so so happy that I could cry (actually I was smiling like an idiot, but I hope I didn’t look so much dorky). Probably I was, but I don’t care. For me the whole point of the trip was meeting them.

Also got a lot of goodies and took some time to make a few makes and takes and play with some new stuff (for me) like clay, jewelry and glitter (I still think Flerg’s is better than the real one… LOL)

And almost at the end of my last day in Chicago (Saturday, because my flight was Sunday morning) I was at the UNIBIND booth making a lovely booklet and talking too much (as usual) when a this lovely chick turn to me and ask me “Do you do digital?” I said yes and she handed me her card… when I see the name I screamed “I know you, I know you”… was no other than THE Cindy Wyckoff, the owner / Editor in Chief of Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine and she turn to this other gorgeous blond and told her “look who is here”… and you guess right… was non other than Kristi McFadden the Managing Editor of the magazine. (In the pic, left to right Kristi, me and Cindy)Well at the end I was soooo tired, but I couldn’t left without hit downtown and take a boat tour at the Navy Pier and eat some Chicago Style Pizza Ahh and just in case you wonder: I got my Crop-o-dile, the three Twilight books, all six Black Dagger Brotherhood books and two lovely Lego trains from Thomas and Friends for my son. TTYL!!!

My Step Son's Wedding

As I promise you, here are the pictures and video of my Step Son's Wedding
The religious ceremony was by the beach in a lovely resort.
My little one was in charge of the ring. And after a dozen "take the rings... NO!... take the rings... NO!"... he reach destination and gave the rings to daddy.

I loved the outfits... very beach themed. My son and the groom were dressed alike. White soits with white Convers... LOL The fathers of the bride and groom wear white pants with blue jackets... and on a funny and non intentional note the mother of the groom and the step mother (me) decided to use the same color of dress... LOL (not intentional at all)

Everything was lovely and Victor Alejandro looked so happy that tears came to my eyes even when I'm not his mom.

Say hello to Mr Victor Alejandro Chizmar and Ms (Yohani Cooper Chizmar)

Big brother (the groom) and Little Brother dress the same!

Here we are dh and I with the bride and the groom (and the best man)

Suddenly the bride and the groom showed up with this Mardi Grass mask and ditributing silly outfits, hats and wistles to everyone and announcing a surprise...

The great surprise were the fireworks by the beach and everyone got rid of the shoes and went out to see the show and take silly pics with the costumes.

Plus we had a band playing carnival music. Here you have some videos of the bride and groom dancing in the beach... and well... everyone else was dancing and jumping too... LOL

I had a blast!!!... I dance and jump and enjoy the party as if was mine!!!

Even the kids had a great time!!! My ds made a new friend (Sebastian) and the spent the whole time running and playing in the sand.

Despite of how tired were everyone, the morning after we were by the pool having fun and enjoying breakfast (well, almost lunch... LOL)
