I'm not a big fan of zoos, specially because those here in Latin America don't have the best habitat for the animals. And I think animals should be free.
Of course I'm aware that lots of zoos around the world make a hard work trying to keep animals from extinction and such... but I'm more in favor of reservations.
On this line of thoughts... I truly love the work of the US National Zoos and the Smithsonian Institute with the Pandas. I just love them. And I think is a big deal that they manage to breed more little Pandas to the world.
I took this pictures a couple of years ago in Washington where TaiShan was the "baby" Panda with just one year old.
